Pump-drive enquiries are a natural fit for NM couplings, but “for a water pump” is still too little information to select a size. A useful quotation starts with motor speed, motor and pump shaft diameters, power or torque, pump type and the expected operating pattern.
Why pump RFQs go wrong
Replacement projects often begin with a photo of two red or dark hubs and a black element. That can identify the coupling family, but it cannot prove the bore, hub length or duty. Measure the shafts and capture the existing model marking before selecting a replacement.
Pump-drive checklist
