Measure the shaft or use the equipment drawing. If measured, state that the values are field measurements.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Hub length available<\/td>\n<td>Check shoulders, seals, guards and nearby equipment.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Shaft end position<\/td>\n<td>Note how far the shaft enters the hub and any axial gap requirement.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Setscrew or locking detail<\/td>\n<td>Photograph and dimension it if the replacement must match an existing arrangement.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Why a photo is not enough<\/h2>\n<p>Perspective can make a 28 mm and 30 mm bore look identical, and an assembled guard can hide the hub length.
